The expertise our organisation has built up since 1932 is only truly valuable if we share it with others. With this in mind, ISS Switzerland has developed a training programme that covers almost all of its areas of work.
ISS Switzerland is active at various universities throughout Switzerland (Universities of Social Work in Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Geneva and Valais, University of Fribourg, Groupement pro Mediation) and offers trainings on child protection, case management and mediation.
We organises conferences and trainings for professionals in Switzerland with renowned speakers and experts from abroad on current topics. In 2021, together with the Haute Ecole de Travail Social de Genève and Astural, ISS Switzerland organised a course in the French-speaking part of Switzerland on the topic of interdisciplinary cooperation in high-conflict parental separations.
In this field, for which ISS Switzerland is recognised as an expert, we share our expertise in various courses at higher education institutions and universities. We participate, for example, in the development of the academic curriculum for the Interdisciplinary University Master's Degree in Children's Law (MIDE).
Our organisation is also occasionally approached to share its experience on the subject with the public at large or with members of associations working in the field.
At the request of cantons, organisations or institutions, we set up customised courses for professionals and volunteers.
