ISS Switzerland provides initial guidance for binational couples living in Switzerland on matters relating to marriage, family life, separation and divorce. As a member of the Association of Counselling Agencies for Binational and Intercultural Couples and Families Switzerland, ISS is part of a nationwide network of specialised professionals. Our counselling is provided within the framework of Swiss law and helps couples understand their situation and identify appropriate next steps. While we don not provide legal representation, we support clients in navigating the often complex legal and administrative landscape. In cases of conflict or challenging family situations, ISS can also offer mediation where appropriate.
Duration & Location: Consultations generally last 1 to 1,5 hours and take place either at our offices or online for a fixed fee.

- civil and immigration law issues relating to binational relationships, marriage and family reunification
- topics such as the prevention of international child abduction and co-parenting after separation
Separation and divorce
In cases of separation or divorce, ISS Switzerland takes a child-centered approach and provides guidance on:
- the family law and immigration law implications of separation and divorce
- residence status after separation
- the rights and needs of children
- topics such as the prevention of international child abduction and co-parenting in a international context
Where appropriate, ISS can also offer mediation to facilitate constructive communication between those involved.
